Corey Brock Mailbag with my comments
Re: Corey Brock Mailbag with my comments
I think its just been lately, he's ready to see a winner, can't fault him too much
Re: Corey Brock Mailbag with my comments
I am more then ready for a winner as well, been following since inaugural year. But would rather see a lasting product the a 1 year shot. Dip should get 1-2 year extension to show it thru but after that find someone that wants to win if he doesn’t.

Which was my problem with the trade. Not timing...sure, that was poor. But they made a move for next year while one game out this year. If that is what you mean by timing? Then yes. Mostly I am tired of hearing about a rebuild, when they give up one game out. So, they were competitive one year too early, and that was somehow bad? A very Mariner thing to do.

First off, yes. Calling me a dope because I didn’t think this team would be competitive? Good lord...if they finish under .500 will I be right? Second, why is the window open? Because we have two young guys that can hit? Just because the Mariners tell me all these guys are the future doesn’t make it so. Hell, based on history I would say it means quite the opposite. Which one of the buck eighty brigade has you so certain we are primed for greatness?bpj wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 2:03 am
Everybody and their mother knows our window is just opening, yet here you are, nonstop whining, the sky is falling! Boohoo. The Graveman trade made the team better for 5 years. Cry a little more though.
Keyboard tough guy for calling you a dope? I'll call a spade a spade all day long, Dopey.
I am not crying about shit, just wondering why a team that has lost for twenty years gets so much benefit of the doubt? They say these guys are good, must be true.

Well, the rebuild is about done, thanks in part to Toro.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 3:05 amWhich was my problem with the trade. Not timing...sure, that was poor. They're competitive a year early. Of course it's not bad. But that's the reality of it and they didn't alter their plan to try and chase it early.

You're a dope for how you're acting, the sky is falling!, not just because you weren't able to tell the team could have been a contender.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 3:10 amFirst off, yes. You're here babbling about them not being good while wanting to chase the wild card out the other side of your mouth.
We have a team that was in position to contend at the break, even with 100 injuries and underperformance, spare me the buck eighty brigade nonsense.
Add Nelson Cruz to this lineup over a season and it's a playoff lineup. Stop acting like 2022 is out of reach (just like you did 2021).

Re: Corey Brock Mailbag with my comments
So, you are basing 2022 success on a guy we haven’t signed yet?
Again, which one of the guys currently hitting a buck eighty or less will be our savior? Or is 2022’s success based in France, Toro and a bunch of guys you would sign, because it is that easy?
Why did I want them to try to win? Because they were 1 game out! You want next year based on what you hope they do...how does that make me the dope?

So, we don’t need any of the buck eighty guys to hit, just sign Cruz?
Re: Corey Brock Mailbag with my comments
Were you begging for them to go for it this year without him?? These guys have us in that position.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 3:19 amSo, we don’t need any of the buck eighty guys to hit, just sign Cruz?
We added Toro, that's one improvement. Cruz would be another. Yes, that's absolutely enough.
Get Cruz and exercise Seagers option and it's a complete team, without any holes.
Crawford
France
Haniger
Cruz
Toro
Lewis
Seager
Raleigh/Murphy
Kelenic
With another year of development under their belt this season, that's a team ready to contend in 2022.
