It's the 8th inning in an early tilt at Lost Wages. The Las Vegas Aviators scored 6 runs off Alex Bergman in the bottom of the 1st.
The Rainiers have fought back, scoring 1 each in the 4th and 5th innings and 4 in the top of the 6th to tie it.

Here in the top of the 8th Braden Bishop launched a solo shot for a 7-6 lead and he is 3-5, 2 runs scored and has 3 rbi's.

The big story line here is the first rehab game for Kyle Seager. As the DH he is 1-4 (double), a walk, a run scored and just K'd to end the 8th.

Austin Nola had his 5th hr earlier in the game and the catcher/1Bman and is currently batting .346.

Here's the bad news: R.J. Alaniz has relieved and has walked and allowed a single to the first 2 batters. After striking out the next batter he just gave up another rbi single to give the Aviators a tie......................to be continued...............

Bergman is still a poor man's Héctor Noesí (2-12 - .143 - 5.82 in 2012) or Ian Snell (0-5 - .000 - 6.41in 2010), former Mariner starter shitshows.

1B Ryan Court, that Indie League Skeeter replacement for Joey Curletta hit a 2 rbi single in the top of the 9th to put the Rainiers on top of the Aviators 9-7. After 2 were out, Nola and Ian Miller both walked and the duo raced around to score on Court's hit.

Matt Festa pitched the bottom of the 9th, gave up a walk and K'd 2 for the save.

Alaniz got credit for a blown save and the win  . Tacoma banged out 15 hits.

Visiting Visalia Rawhide beat Modesto Nuts 5-1 today.
DH Cal Raleigh was 1-4.
Still putting himself back on the map a bit, the forgotten, former top-30 CF/LF Luis Liberato went 4-4 (all singles). On the season he is .308 \ .377 - .490 / .866 with 7 dingers and 28 rbi's. 37 games, 32 k's, 16 bb's.

Good news: RH Sam Tuivailala performed another good relief appearance. He had a 3 up, 3 down 5th inning with a strikeout.

In Low-A ball, the West Virginia Power invaded the Charleston Riverdogs. Spectators there had to endure 2 fvcking extra innings of starting with a runner at 2nd base. Riverdog's Josh Stowers won the game with a single.

Kelenic was 1-4 (single) with an rbi and he k'd once. In 36 games he is .314 \ .404 \ .550 \ .954

In 29 games, Stowers is .306 / .402 / .435 / .837
January 21, 2019 Seattle Mariners traded OF Josh Stowers to New York Yankees for 2B Shed Long.

Interesting about the crap show pitching of South African Tayler Scott and his transformation to Master Jedi control and K warrior.
Scott Emerging as Latest Strikeout Artist
It always seems a little overly-optimistic to add the caveat of “if you take away these two outings,” but that is exactly what I’m about to do. If you pretend two of the worst outings you’ll ever see from a reliever didn’t happen for RHP Tayler Scott—he allowed a combined 14 earned runs over 2.1 innings in a pair of mid-April outings—he’s actually had a helluva season out of Tacoma’s bullpen. Subtracting those outings during which he completely lost command of the strike zone and walked seven hitters, he’s logged 19.2 innings this year and posted a 1.83 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 12.8 K/9, and 3.2 BB/9.

During the month of May, the South African hurler has posted four clean two-inning outings, totaling 15 strikeouts and allowing just three hits and two walks over eight innings of work. He hasn’t issued more than one walk in an outing since April 21 despite averaging nearly two innings per appearance over that span. If he continues demonstrating a refined control of his arsenal, he could find himself in the majors the next time the big league club plays relief pitcher roulette.
The difference now is hurling to dangerous, stationary wild beasts in the batters box as opposed to throwing at moving targets in Africa such as Lions or a charging Rhinoceros while running for his life. Took a while to transition on over from his normal fear and flight mechanism.

Rainiers bringing a little thunder to Reno, lead the Aces 12-4 in the top of the 6th. Bishop and Long both homered. Long is 3-4, Bishop, Seager is 2-4, Lopes and Negron with 2 hits apiece. Austin Nola continues his torrid pace, is 3-3, b.a. up to .364.
Tommy Milone has gone 5 but has 94 pitches.

Seager playing 3B tonight, was just pinch hit for by Skeeter Ryan Court, who singles to make it 13-4.

Double A - Drillers drilled the Travelers 8-2. The 0-4 triumvirate were DTW, White and Fraley. Kyle Lewis was 2-4 and has a four game hitting streak going.
