6 blown saves. Sewald as good but not elite. Outside of him and maybe Munoz we have a whole lot of slop atm.

In terms of dipoto being smarter than everybody else, thought they had moved past using a closer. It was more situational matchup. Graveman didn't rack up that many saves did he?

And in terms of needing a closer, seems the Mets have done a better job of needing one since that trade than the mariners.

Ignore my use of the term closer. Another elite reliever. I do like the concept of your best reliever facing the meat of the order/high leverage regardless if it is the 7th, 8th or 9th inning. And that is definitely a wide spread philosophy throughout baseball because it actually makes sense.

Okay, been wondering about that. Not following as closely these days, closer gets brought up here a lot. I keep thinking they don't really have one.

If they had Diaz maybe they use him as a closer, who knows. It's like the DH, how many actual pure DH candidates are there, particularly with needing 30 of them now. A guy that can give you 4 WAR with his bat?
