I almost typed Farley. Fraley doesn't seem to have as much pop as his minor league numbers show. He seemed over aggressive at first.

Did Broxton hit the umpire with his batting gloves?

He did. First he chucked his bat, then his helmet, then he threw his batting glove without even looking and it hit the ump right in the kisser.

Really disappointed in Fraley even though he wasn't doing much in Tacoma either. Every other team has rookies that come up and do well, some even really well, and then even some like Acuna/Soto/Alonso, but every rookie we call up falls on his face (Crawford doesn't count). Well, first off, you are comparing fringe prospects that both are likely 4th outfielders with blue chip prospects. Second, both have a pretty small sample size. I'm not sure if Fraley will be an every day player or not, but he deserves a chance to see what he can do as a regular day player. Much like Vogelbach. He proved that he is an MLB hitter, after struggling with much of his time last year.

All 3 of these guys are flawed prospects (Bishop, Fraley, Vogelbach). Even Mike Trout struggled his first time in the MLB.

I have hope that Fraley can be an every day CF, at least for a few years while he's cheap, but he needs time. It took him a few weeks to adjust to AAA. He probably will need to spend more time there next year as well.

I'm not sure if it was very bright, or very ingenious to "accidentally" hit the umpire.

Well shoot, tough loss. You have to like the way the team responded though, earlier in the season that four-run second inning was a death sentence and tonight they made the far superior Spankees sweat it out. I'd like to see the Mariner front office publicly request that this game be counted as a win just to show up the Spankees. Seriously, DO IT.

A Participation Trophy would only be fair.

Never against the Yankees. They used a roided up pitcher to steal our glory in 2000/2001. I only wish the engines will fall off their team plane on their way out of Seattle.
