watching the game on delay here and have to just comment... WHAT A FUCKING CATCH BY JULIO! That made me exclaim out loud for the first time in a long time. Just unreal given all that was involved (range to get to it, the need to adjust, the check of the wall, the re-location of ball, the stab out with his glove to grab it and leap to the wall Griffey/Spiderman style in one motion)

That was a frustrating loss. And before that if JP is drag bunting? How about just a sac fly? 1st and 3rd no outs and 1-2-3 all fail. That is just fucking pathetic. Situational hitting.

Can anyone explain to me why we don't bunt the "free" runner on 2nd base (in extra innings) over to 3rd, then flyball him in?

That would put all the pressure on the home team to MAKE something happen.

Maybe this is just the "new normal" for baseball, but I can't remember a time in the 8th or 9th inning (when Sweet Lou) was the coach that if the score was tied and we got a leadoff double, that he didn't call for the bunt to move the runner to 3rd.

Our coach is a dumb as a box of rocks.
