Minor League Updates
Re: Minor League Updates
8 HR in just over 200 AB. Pretty dang good for an 18 year with the frame to add 20 more lbs of muscle.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:35 pmBig Bomb for J Rod

Not to mention having his season disrupted with the HBP.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:56 pm8 HR in just over 200 AB. Pretty dang good for an 18 year with the frame to add 20 more lbs of muscle.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:35 pmBig Bomb for J Rod

Re: Minor League Updates
Man the WV lineup consists of 3 guys with OPS in the 500s, 4 in the 600s, 1 in the low 700s and JRod. anemic.

Re: Minor League Updates
Well, Shenton has a small sales size. He is struggling after a pretty early promotion. He was raking in Everett. Honeyman (who got a day off) had a really slow start, but has been really good the last 2 months. Anchia also got the day off, low average, but had some pop.
They are sure missing Kelenic and McGovern though. It's a shame Kelenic and Julio didn't get to play together more. I think Kelenic stays a level above JRod as they both develop.

Re: Minor League Updates
Kyle Lewis since May 30 (not including todays 2/4 so these numbers are all slightly higher)
.331/.409/.503/.911
Now he has an incredible .455 BABIP. I know that won't last for long, but hopefully his power ticks up as the BABIP ticks down.
Whats more incredible to me is his home road splits. Unreal
Home .190/.290/.282/.573
Road .351/.429/.537/.966
I don't think he needs to leave Arkansas this year, but it would be interesting to see how he performs in Tacoma with a more hitter friendly home park and a juiced ball. I'm still high on Kyle Lewis, and while he hasn't maybe developed as fast as may have been expected at first, he certainly is developing and showing he could become a pretty good piece down the line. My hope is that by AS break 2020 he's in LF, Fraley is in CF, and Haniger is in RF. Will be interesting to see how those 3 develop, and who is the odd man out once Kelenic comes in. My thought is trade Haniger if you can get a great 3B prospect, and change.
Will be fun to watch them develop, and its part of the reason I'm not too concerned about Mallex Smith in the long term. No way is he a regular on this team in 2021 and beyond unless something goes horribly wrong with the prospects.

Re: Minor League Updates
Amazing I was just looking at his splits about an hour ago. Really his only bad month was May. He is completely back on track. I wonder how his D is. I haven't heard anything about it. Guessing its average to slightly above, which is fine.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 2:47 amKyle Lewis since May 30 (not including todays 2/4 so these numbers are all slightly higher)

Re: Minor League Updates
There was a video of a good catch he had today on either Mariners minors or lookout landing Twitter, and there have been a few of him throwing guys out. I think he will be above average in LF or RF, and maybe could play CF in a pinch.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 3:44 amAmazing I was just looking at his splits about an hour ago. I mentioned Devin Sweet a couple of times well he had a great game a couple of nights back.
Re: Minor League Updates
Yeah, we discussed the fact he is a UDFA. Looking like a pretty nice pick up.
