Not one of ours but he was last season is Mike Ford, he has totally earned his promotion to the Yankees.

Our pathetic team couldnt find a spot for him, but we've run absolute bums out there at 1B on occasion since (guys like Dylan Moore), now he will probably do something to carry the Yankers to the playoffs.
He wasn't ready to be an every day 1B or DH last year, and he needed regular AB. Being a rule 5 draft, M's would have had to keep him on the roster all year long. Unfortunate that it wasn't this year the M's were able to draft him in the rule 5 draft, because they would have had a spot for him.

Then again, I wouldn't have minded him having Ryon Healy's spot last year and kept Pagan.

Exactly. That is tied with the Gordon trade as JDs worst. Totally abandoned control the zone mantra in both cases.

Exactly, he won't turn out to be a big loss most likely, just can think of 4 or 5 guys I would have sacrificed from our roster first to keep the 1B.

Healy was obviously never a good enough bat to survive at 1B. He had to move. Now we're waiting on Evan White. Great.

It was "win now" mode, and they traded anything with a pulse in the minors. I wanted the rebuild 1 1/2 years before it happend. Oh Well. I'm happy with how its going so far. Need a good offseason and a good draft, but early returns are encouraging in the Minors.

With the first name of Utah, you can handle anything

Is that out of 5 guys?

Are any of the other 4 even prospects?

Theres also a Catcher, a 2B, a 3B and a center fielder ahead of him in OPS.

I don't know, an .826 OPS in the minor leagues for a 1B is weak to put it mildly. There's only so much defense to be had at 1B to begin with.

He is in an extreme pitcher's park for half his games, and he's still developing. OPS is .130 higher on the road
