I was Curious, so I checked Spencer Strider. He only pitches 94 innings in the minors, and 1 game in AAA.

He had an ERA of 4.6 in college, 3.6 in minors and now 2.6 in MLB.

What did I learn, nothing really. But it did make me wonder where the heck Spencer Strider came from, and how does Atlanta keep churning out these prospects?

They should promote Dollard to Tacoma.

It should be obvious by now that they are going to protect their pitching prospects from Tacoma. Who is the last pitching prospect that got significant time in Tacoma before being promoted to mlb?

I'm thinking he's not going to break camp with the team, and will be spending time in the minors next year as well. If the plan is for him to pitch for Mariners next year, I agree. They won't promote him now, then send him back to AA next year, at least I doubt they would do that.

There is evidence that they don't use Tacoma as a significant stepping stone for their pitchers. That just a fucking fact. If you can't see that, you are an idiot. Brash, Gilbert and Kirby are all evidence of that. They may call him up the last few weeks, but they may also not want to expose him so his value stays up for the offseason.

I could see Hancock pitching a few games just to get a few more innings under the books, but I don't it. Either way, it's not going to likely happen until after the Aquasox season is over.
