I'm doubling my punishment by also watching the Kraken game, and for the second straight game they've scored one minute into the game and then not scored afterwards. That's like twice in a row getting home runs to lead off the game and then scoring no further runs...which I bet this team will do this season.

Well, we have won the last 8.5 innings. Take away that top of the first and the Mariners win 4-3. Well played, lads.

Put the anti-jinx on Cal, he flips over to the right side and immediately crushes a homer

Always an optimist, I know, but I think a big early hole like this is actually good for this offense right now. Gotta be aggressive and it also gives you that loose feeling of nothing to lose
Gotta say, you were right about that for tonight, and that does tend to happen. 6 runs on 8 hits, can't feel bad about that. Maybe we should now try doing this in a game where our starter actually makes it out of the 1st inning.

How the hell does Arozarena, who had a good game tonight, strike out on a 91 MPH fastball a foot outside?

He loves pitches out of the zone. Him and Julio are great at it. Offense put up a fight. 6 runs took some walks made more hard contact got screwed by Hancock and some bad luck on some of the hard hit balls. Bullpen was amazing only 3 runs allowed very very impressed in how they handled it. Time to bring a swingman up for Hancocks next start and get ready when Hancock starts to get shaky. Don't leave him in for that long. Must must win tomorrow with Skubal going next. I knew we weren't gonna leave last place for a while.

Looks like he tried a few mind games with the pitcher and umpire there from 3-0 count. I am not a fan of taking a step towards first on a clear strike to try and trick the umpire. He's not going to fall for that - not the same as catcher framing a pitch. Clutching at straws a bit. You're right as well, he's done well tonight and been ok so far this season.

I really think we could have sneaked that game on another day. A shocker from Hancock otherwise it would have probably been an easy win.

I took the time during this one to get the Masters Golf contest for 2025 launched, so golf fans get into that new thread.....

He was in total swing mode after taking those previous 2. Brutal. Get him on with that walk and they might bring in another reliever and you got Polanco up... who knows

But yeah, lots of good tonight. Two good appearances from Vargas and Bazardo. Snider and Sauce not so much. I think Vargas just locked down a job for at least the first half of the year with that performance. He's not going anywhere.

Also good games from Arozarena, Raley, Polanco and Julio. Toss in Robles in there and you have 5 hitters who are looking pretty solid. But Crawford, Cal and Tellez + Moore are not looking good. Crawford is really pissing me off

Gotta love that BOLU black hole of Tellez Bliss Crawford now batting under .100. But Jerry Dumbfuck is going to keep rolling them out there.

It's looking like Tellez will be DFA'd here shortly... Bliss likely to be optioned.

Jerry's grand plan has already failed 5 games in

And if there was ever a JP Crawford split: .077/.294/.077    He is literally getting paid to just stand there and not swing.
