You could literally say that about any sport or league or tournament. How about the ridiculous in season NBA or Soccer tournaments. Same with the World cup or Olympics or how about the Premier League that doesn't even have a post season.

All it needs to do is beat spring training which ain't hard. Could you imagine the NFL allowing players to miss camp to play in a tournament? NFL camp is a little more serious

All the guys that get playing time for team Italy are US Citizens born and raised in the USA. Same for Israel and Great Britain and about half of Mexico. All of the Guys on the Netherlands team or from the Curacao and Aruba. The World cup and the Olympics don't let them get away with crap like that. Its also not real baseball. Baseball is played in series with starting pitchers who go deep into games. Can you imagine if the MLB playoffs was this garbage pool play? The last thing we need to be doing is to make baseball more like the NBA and Soccer.
