I can deal with this when it doesn't happen every damn game. It just continues. Great pitching and no offense when u are given the chance. Good teams come through on chances like those. Guaranteed first place teams don't do that. We are not a first place team this team is far from it. When u don't have an offense at all u don't deserve to be on top. Name a team that absolutely had no offense and most strikeouts and solid pitching and win it? It's just tiring seeing it over and over. I can deal when we don't have runners that are near scoring. Would be better the have no one on base like most innings this game.
IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY DAMN GAME!

You guys -- and you especially Seth -- ride this tired narrative that the M's offense sucks. You enter every game with that preconceived notion and inherent bias.

Well yesterday the team had 10 hits and scored five runs. Won in comeback fashion.
Day before that? 5 runs, 10 hits
Friday? 3 runs, 7 hits
Wed - 2 runs 10 hits

look around the league and you will find lineups with guys hitting 5-9 near the mendoza line. It's not just the Mariners. You either willfully ignore it or you're not paying attention to the rest of the league.

Kind of need Texas to win tonight, so this "first place Mariners" charade can end, when anyone with eyeballs can see this isn't a first-place quality team.

Is there any other team in baseball where when they load the bases with no outs their fans feel more anxiety than excitement?

Fuck this team.

They're 26th in baseball in runs scored.

They lead the league in strikeouts.

On what planet do you think this offense doesn't suck?

huh? have you been watching them play? They smoked Texas, took 2 of 3 from Atlanta (t3 team in NL), dominated Hou

They pitch and play great D (aside from Ty France)

You've got an offense that is largely doing just enough, piecing it together, with your supposed best hitter doing next to nothing. Julio has an 84 ops +
And still the team is in 1st, winners of 6 consecutive series

When u continue to get base runners after base runners after baserunners and look at the last few games with risp look at this team's numbers with risp. This offense just continues to disappoint and it's not early anymore. Another high strikeout game. Back to back games with bases loaded no outs and 3 runs come from it. We are on a torrid pace to crush strikeout record and it's just not ending. Changing means they actually do something with runners on. Other then a homer once in a blue moon with runners on this offense does not drive in runs with runners on base. Look at our offense number this season. It's just getting worse.

Keep cherry picking the stats that show the narrative you want to show.

Who cares about strikeouts? It's been 33 games. Not even 1/5 way thru. Guys are coming on. If you look around the league, hitting is down everywhere.

It just has to be a runner on 3rd with no outs with Julio Polanco and Haniger coming up. Knowing I have a better shot of winning the lottery then one of them coming through.

You can look at one guy in the RISP... Julio. If he starts coming on, the RISP number will come up
