I was speaking in general. I'm not sure why you took it as an M's target getting further away.

I swear the dopes on twitter will believe anything. This joker pulled this list out of his ass and they are now discussing the trade like it is a done deal. lol

India is not better than any of about half a dozen internal candidates. I love how other fan bases are like "India is no longer worthy of starting in our line-up" ~ I wonder if trader Jerry will give us Kirby and Brash for him?
I admit some of my trade proposals are far fetched but at least I will reference the trade calc.

Wednesday in his unveiling of the 2024 ZiPS projections for the Mariners, FanGraphs columnist addressed Jonathan India directly: "(Hopefully Jonathan India stays off Seattle’s trade radar; he’s not actually projected to be much of an upgrade at second.)"

I think the Giants are paying too much for Jung Hoo Lee. I like the player profile but 18.3 AAV for an unproven contact hitter is a big chunk out of most teams' payrolls. San Francisco can spend, obviously, but they've never spent like the Dodgers or Yankees, and it isn't really clear that they plan to. But maybe they will, maybe that's the plan. Still, it seems like a foolish decision. Even the big spending teams tend to regret this level of spending if the player performance doesn't ultimately justify it. This is similar actually to the Mariners signing Yusei Kikuchi.

Giants offered Judge more money than the Yankees, and matched the dodgers offer to ohtani. They needed to sign somebody, he needs to be able to play center field. There's a significant defensive element to it

Seems the Giants are having trouble luring players to the liberal shit hole that SF has become. Might be another challenge that Jerry is facing as well.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 7:49 amGiants offered Judge more money than the Yankees, and matched the dodgers offer to ohtani. What happened? Thought the mariners were the most profitable team in baseball. LA and NYC, bastions of conservation
