Feeling cursed might possibly be the worst feeling in the world. Especially after trying so hard to be a good person.
It isn't logical of course to feel that way and there is undoubtedly some underlying cause to something like consistently awful ownership and management of teams in a given city, but no fan deserves to experience so many painful episodes and so little great or magical moments. What makes Boston fans worthy of experiencing 8 Superbowls 5 World Series and several NBA finals / Stanley Cup appearances in a span of 15 years while fans in other cities don't see their teams have even half that success in their entire lives? It's a sick world.
I love you brother. Not in a gay way so don't get your hopes up. lol I Respect you.

Apparently today was Dan Wilson's 162nd game as Mariners manager.
Record: 89-73
Win Percentage... 54.9%

He’s an over achiever in Dipshitto’s mind. Over by 0.9%. Doesn’t Dan know that consistently winning 88 games is the way to go?

I'm not gonna lie, this road trip checked me out.

I didn't watch an inning yesterday or today. I didn't even check in on the score until hours after the game was over.

They just don't have it.

Here are just a selection of losing streaks this season

Nationals 11 Jun 7 to Jun 18
Guardians 10 Jun 26 to Jul 6
Orioles 8 May 14 to May 20
Dodgers 7 Jul 4 to Jul 11
Mets 7 Jun 13 to Jun 20
Mets 7 Aug 3 to Aug 10
Giants 7 Aug 9 to Aug 16

Even the Dodgers managed to lose 7 on the spin last month.

Let's not have a meltdown just yet but this next home stand is now crucial. As mentioned Servais was binned off a year ago today / tomorrow depending on timezone. It was after a similar shocking road trip IIRC.

Massive series against the A's maybe nothing less than a sweep will do.

that's what Yankee fans endured in June

Katie Sharp
@SharpStats17
Yankees 7-game spans with 7 runs or fewer and 6+ losses:

June 12-18, 2025
Sept 1-7, 1908
now the Yankees are setting records
New York finished with five home runs on the night and 14 in the series sweep, tying a major league record for most homers in a two-game series. The 1999 Reds previously held the record, doing so Sept. 4-5 against the Philadelphia Phillies -- with current Yankees manager Aaron Boone hitting one of the home runs for Cincinnati.

So if you round that off, Wilson's Mariners have been a roaring success exceeding all expectations! We're HEROES!!!

46 strikeouts in the three games, and it didn't matter who was pitching. I know that was a Phillies pitching record for a three-game series, but I wonder if that was a Mariner hitting record for a three-game series?

My first thought was 1986 against the Red Sox where in consecutive games we struck out 20 times against Roger Clemens and 16 times against Bruce Hurst, but Oil Can Boyd only struck out 5 batters in the third game.

The Phillies became in organization in 1888 or so. So, almost 140 years ago, and they set two team records for a three game series. Most strikeouts by their pitchers and most HRs by their hitters. So, we can't pitch and we can't hit. Fucking awesome.
