That is Castillo in that video. Miller doesn't have dreds....
I drew the short straw. Castillo. Sacramento. Civale: 5-1. This is my Memorial Day 5/25 GT

That trade would make the M's much better. Just two problems. Zero chance the Red Sox do that despite Dom's genetics and who is going to tell Randy he is getting demoted to DH during a contract year costing him millions of dollars???Peepaw wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2026 3:06 pmMiller was pissed after PB1. After getting pulled, he was shaking his head before he crossed the first base line. He had harsh words post game, almost divisive. Neither Castillo nor Miller want this BS at all. I was in a profession where "double teaming" was occasionally necessary - it's never pleasant to share your work unless it's the nature of the work. There are 2/6 unhappy guys in the rotation and something's got to give.
Trade Castillo and Canzone for Wilyer Abreau. Boston needs help and east coast teams love their Italian players. Insert Abreau in RF, Move Raley to left, and make Randy full time DH.

Damn right, be pissed off about getting taken out, show some fight. That's what this team seems to be lacking. I like seeing that, this team just seems to be going through the motions
I think you're missing the point. It's not about not knowing the plan or wanting to be traded. It's simply not liking to be pulled from a game. Guys don't like getting pulled, at least I feel they shouldn't like it. But don't make too much out of it. I like seeing some emotion, this seems like a very listless tram to me. And in terms of it being a plan, maybe it lights a fire under Castillo's ass. Let's get some gloves getting thrown, bats getting broke.Re: I drew the short straw. Castillo. Sacramento. Civale: 5-1. Oh I'm sorry fuck boy... you wanna make $23M a year and pitch to an ERA near 7... you don't get a say.
Yea he has pissed talking with Dan. He is gonna wanna be traded.
I thought the whole reason they came up with this nonsense is to keep him happy. LOL Winning 7-0 and still a shit show.
Castillo after the game, as a competitor. Yeah, let's start competing
“I was kind of asking, ‘Maybe one more inning?’” Castillo said through an interpreter. “He told me that Bryce was ready. But as a competitor, you kind of want to go out there and just continue. But at the same time, you've got to respect his position. We knew that was part of the plan, and you've got to respect what his decision was.”

According to Statcast leaderboards, Randy's fielding quotient is negative. Btw, Julio and Raley numbers are even worse! Randy always looks stiff. That back peddling he did on an A's double off the wall was classic Little League. I'm not sure his fielding is a bargaining point. The M's can sweeten the deal by eating Luis' salary or providing a prospect. Luis' numbers - obviously he's down, but Boston looks like they could use him. He still has some gas in the tank.

This whole idea of piggybacking is stupid. Why not just have Miller take on a role like Cleveland had a few years back where they used Andrew Miller (I think that's the guy) as an actual fireman type reliever who came in and pitched multiple innings.
But the Jerry way is to piss off multiple players and then trade off Castillo for peanuts just in time for a couple starters to go on the IL. Because Mariners...

We could make the rest up with Cash as you mentioned. I just doubt that after the piggy back fiasco they are not going to want to ruffle any more feathers especially with a guy that lost his mind over a spurned hand shake.Peepaw wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2026 4:03 pmAccording to Statcast leaderboards, Randy's fielding quotient is negative. I actually don't see it as a bad idea. You want to keep the innings up with the both of them. They won the game and saved the BP. And this concern about pissing off players, piss them off. They are the most disappointing team in MLB. You want Wilson to crack the whip then do it. All this crap about a player getting a win. How about just pulling together as a team and win ballgames.bhofferb wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2026 4:20 pmThis whole idea of piggybacking is stupid. Terms of Crawford, he's continuing to work at 3rd. The move would still be in the future
Crawford is continuing to see work at third base before games. He could see a start at the hot corner next week

Man, I hear that! Pitching changed while I wasn't really looking at baseball or any sports. Wins and such don't really matter anymore. WINNING matters. Teams throw bullpen games now. I'm all for playing the game to WIN. So I can't disagree with the PB strategy in light of that. But it's hard for the two pitchers. I understand that. I was once that young and idealistic (still am). It's hard to see past your own gig. And when things are changing, harder still.bhofferb wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2026 4:20 pmThis whole idea of piggybacking is stupid. I throw this out there as fodder - is baseball becoming like soccer? More impersonal and socialistic? No heroes, just parochialism?
