Captain am I right that a win tonight for Ms plus a Baltimore loss tomorrow in the Bronx means that’s it. That game would finish midway through our game against Oakland. I suspect it only means that Baltimore can’t surpass us but could in theory still be in contention for a bizarre 3 way tie finish with Tampa as well?

Yes, An M's win tonight and a Baltimore loss tomorrow would clinch at least a tie with the O's and the M's have the head to head tie breaker. In a 3 way tie with TB, the Rays won the season series against both the M's and the O's so they would get the 2nd Wild card. I believe then it would go back to head to head between the M's and O's for the third wildcard. So the M's Magic number is at 2 no matter what.

The Rays are in the playoffs if they win tonight. They aren't going to be tied with the freaking Orioles in a week!

Baltimore no longer the focus so let's hope they do win. In fact go 15-0 up before Ms starting their game would be best. Then we can concentrate on our own shit and get the W.
