That's 24 AB for 1 and 19 for the other. Hardly a sample size we should judge them off of.
It's not judging, it's the fact that pretty much no other team has rookies come up and do that.

He's struggled a bit, but much worse against lefties. He might be a platoon guy at best, but he can hit righties
that was my point before, how do you platoon him?...You are not going to platoon him at at first base once White comes up. A platoon DH? Not using a roster spot for that

I don't know, but he's good enough against righties that you at least find a way, at least until you have a better option.
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

Hey, they can still glide to a "safe" landing in a corn field, as long as they break a few bones here and there.
Funny you mention that, it actually did happen to the Minneapolis Lakers, in the closest call ever for an American professional sports team: https://nypost.com/2009/02/08/1960-lake ... eir-lives/
Good stuff - you possess a wealth of weird knowledge about interesting and offbeat events of the past. That was an awesome read.

Just leaving this here in case anyone thinks a baseball team hasn’t undergone a similar experience:

Just imagine if they'd pulled a HollyValensBopper. I don't know if they had a dispersal draft plan back then (they do now) or if they would have folded the franchise altogether and never moved to Los Angeles.. The history of the NBA changes so very drastically if that plane goes down. For instance, the Celtics probably win several more titles. And Rudy Tomjanovich doesn't get his face caved in.
