Not bad in the post season, Phillies seem to want to bring him back

In four starts, Nola went 3-1 with an ERA of 2.35, struck out 23, and accumulated a WHIP of .96.

I noticed the Reds failed to pick up the option on 40-year-old Joey Votto. He was a character. He has 64.5 Career WAR, 1 MVP, 6X All-star, GG, 7X league leader in OBP, 2X tops in OPS, Career 144 OPS+, just to go over a few of his highlights. He finished up 2023 with a 99 OPS+.

?Quick question if he retires today is he Hall of Famer?

Probably a guy that gets in his last 2-3 years of eligibility. For reference future 1st ballot HOFer Ichiro is at 60.0 WAR

Hey we made the list of EIGHT Ohtani suitors! lol
MARINERS
Mariners fans made their initial pitch to Ohtani during the All-Star Game, breaking out into a spontaneous “Come to Seattle!” chant during each of his plate appearances. Will the Mariners get involved in the Ohtani sweepstakes? Seattle has $80 million per year locked up for Julio Rodríguez, Luis Castillo, Robbie Ray and J.P. Crawford, but if the Mariners decide to go all-in on Ohtani, it’s not unreasonable to think they could do so.

If by some miracle we get him I could see them saying, Hey we got the best FA of all time for the biggest contract of all time. We are now done.

Oh and by the way.

If Jung Hoo Lee is the main F/A signed by the M's sign this off season... I might just not watch.

I can't do this 80-90 win pretender bullshit anymore.
