Once again you underestimate the normal Seattle fan, we don’t have the intelligence to understand a Jerry Dipoto. Bullshit
Dipoto is easy to read and he reminds me of another misunderstood sports icon……Don James who was universally hated by his players for never explaining his reasoning. In this same vein Dipoto has no filter on how to sell his thinking to the players and actually has no intention of the need to explain himself to them. Unlike James who won, Dipoto is so far a fucking loser.

His vision is to trot out a team without having to spend on a proven commodity like a Cory Seager, No he intends to find that quality before it gets discovered and expensive. He drafted for Ford because Ford replaces Cal who will never sign an extension. Nothing wrong with this type of thinking if you have 10 plus yrs to hopefully prove his vision. We happen to be owned by a cheapskate who is more than thrilled to sit back and rake it in. What The cheapskate didn’t see coming was the pushback from fans. Stanton is in shock that Seattle is pushing back. I’m pissed that they take themselves out of the Ohtani sweepstakes before it even starts. What if Ohtani wants to play for us.

With the current roster, infielder Luis Urias, who Seattle acquired from the Red Sox last week, would project as the starting third baseman. Urias is coming off an injury-riddled 2023 season where he posted a .194/.337/.299 slash line in 52 combined games between the Brewers and Red Sox.
