He traded for Teo and winker with one year of control so I don't see why he'd be particularly motivated to trade Gilbert and cal with multiple years of control
Yep, not to mention letting Mitch walk without getting anything in return.

He had a perfect chance to get a substantial return with a couple years left of control and passed and then Mitch tanked.
Yep, he announced the rebuild an then kept Mitch and signed Kikuchi. Always a half assed incongruent strategy. Imagine if we had the prospects we would have got for Mitch making debuts last season and this season and the $43M we completely flushed on Kikuchi.

Good point, but IMO, Cal and Logan will have more trade value. Seems that we held on to Teo and Mitch because we were contending. I am not sure that is going to be the case in a year or two. I wasn’t saying he was trading them this year, and that wasn’t the rumor either. But they are not resigning, and unless we are somehow still in contention at the deadline in two or three years? They will be traded…and instead of taking advantage of this window, we will be promised that another one will soon open. Just be patient and appreciate all this awesome organization has done for us.

He traded our closer and kept Teo. Once again half assed hedging instead make a decision one way or another. We weren't going to be competing in 2019 or 2020 and he kept Mitch anyway despite only a few years of control. Just idiotic.

Ticket Sales maybe? Also, didn't we barely miss the playoffs in the Covid shortened 2020 season?
