GT 4/4/25 Mariners vs Gnats NOT Miller Time vs Verlander's corpse

We really should win this one. This should be Verlander's last hurrah and Miller should bounce back from his shaky first outing.
Now of course, there is still the issue of us being the second-shittiest hitting team in Major League Baseball but hopefully we can squeak out another one.
EDIT: Just changed the game thread title in accordance with the wishes of the geniuses who run this, in quoting Hudson from Aliens, chicken-shit outfit.

It is still 4/3 and the M's offense today has been the most consistent it has been all year.

Luis F. Castillo reportedly will get the start for the Mariners against the Giants on Friday in San Francisco:

This is so effing dumb. I was sure it was an April Fool's joke at first, but this other Luis Castillo is listed as the starter wherever I look.
Wtf, just start Bryce for fckk sake.
This seems so old-timey, like when a team started a midget for publicity.

Has anyone ever seen a midget baby?
Seems like they're all adults.

It is just asinine to think that Bryce Miller needs FIVE days rest after one start. The more things change with this org the more they remain the same. Nothing will change until Jerry is gone.

I'll admit I don't know nearly the science and evidence of resting pitchers, but ... if you are going to give guys 4 days between starts, why not make it a priority to start your best guys every 5 days, even when there is an off day?
But the Mariners aren't the only ones who do this. Tigers did exactly the same with Skubal on Weds: due to an off day, he got 5 days rest between his first and second starts (and then lost to us anyway).

Well, the M's are not in the cellar of the AL West any more. So let's keep Jerry for another four years! Best starting rotation in baseball and they may as well send the players up to bat with blindfolds! Who woulda thunk?
