Marte batted 3-5 2b 3 RBI today in the Reds' 8-1 win over the Rockies (fuck the Rockies suck)
Marte is up to .364/.404/.659 since being recalled last week.

Wasn't he part of the Castillo trade along with Fraley and a pitcher? Looking like another loss for Jerry...

Not Fraley. It was Marte, Arroyo, Moore and Stoudt

How would you grade the trade at this point?

They aren't necessarily buying into it yet in Cincinnati
Maybe 10 minor-league games and a fresh start was all it took for Noelvi Marte to rediscover focus and priorities, and to become an everyday big-league player who can help the Cincinnati Reds win?
There’s a long way to go before that last part can be answered. But the young infielder whose 2024 season was lost to a first-half steroid suspension and a second-half performance abyss has quietly played his way into a regular role in manager Terry Francona’s lineup as the team finished off a long road trip before heading home this week to face the Cardinals

I hate Jerry worse than Hitler but that was a great trade. End of Sentence. Hard stop.

Would have been a fine trade if they didn’t eff up the last few years by not adding offense. We’ll see how Castillo ages and what they do while he’s still effective.

I think Castillo will probably be fine. They do need to work with him on making an adjustment though, maybe adding a new pitch. He's had the exact same 4-pitch repertoire for his entire career, so maybe change up the scouting report a little bit.
