6/5 GT can we win one Eflin' game in this series

Three runs in two games against mostly dogshit pitching. Reminds one a little bit of the Angel series last year when they put dogshit pitchers on the mound and we scored one run in three straight games. Why do they always seem to do this at home?

We've got Woo going today so that's encouraging. Good to see him not dropping onto the IL like the other guys from the stress of having to throw 150-200 innings per year. Modern baseball is just brutal, isn't it?

As much as Cal carries this team, him getting thrown out at second with nobody out and a runner on third (with Julio then doing what we all knew he would, swinging at the first pitch in on his hands) and then striking out on a total mistake hanging off-speed meatball killed us last night. When it's going bad, even our MVP screws up.

Speaking of MVPs, I think I've got this one:

Now let's go out there, knock these bums down, and fart on their heads.

Alright I am excited. We are gonna score 1-2 runs today but sadly still lose. This team just has no winning in them right now!!

Hardly the most optimistic game thread ever. Middle of the 1st and no lineups, yet. So here we go

Polanco should be nowhere near the #2 spot at the moment

Hope I haven't wasted my only reverse jinx allowance in the first.

That was a fine piece of reverse-jinxing. Now post that Julio will get jammed on the first pitch and kill the inning.

Too late, he already whiffed.

That was probably a home run in every other ballpark. Orioholes depending on dumb luck.

Literally distance-wise, yes, but accounting for the conditions I think that's a home run everywhere else. Cal blasted that one.

It's official: Cole Young sucks. He's getting pitches to hit and just not hitting them.
