Dylan Moore, Dee Gordon and Mallex Smith would be the three guys I move on from this offseason.
Nola at 2B with Long as the super-UTIL with White (apparently) at 1B.
Haniger-CF
Seager-3B
Santana-RF
Vogelbach-DH
Narvaez/Murphy-C
Lewis-LF
Nola-2B
White-1B
Crawford-SS

I like what Ive seen from Moore lately. I think he deserves a spot. With the extra utility, he is a good option and can play 5-6 positions.bpj wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:33 amDylan Moore, Dee Gordon and Mallex Smith would be the three guys I move on from this offseason.

You have to have a UT that can play SS. I think Moore and his .725 OPS is a good candidate.bpj wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:33 amDylan Moore, Dee Gordon and Mallex Smith would be the three guys I move on from this offseason.

Moore is in his rookie season, he has gotten 200 at bats in spotty service, and even then his last 100 have looked pretty good, he has played both the infield and outfield, he seems to me to be looking interesting

Ouch!!!!!Austin Nola. Another surprise inclusion when thinking about the team of the future and maybe an indication to Nola that he should get a real estate agent to help him navigate the frightening Seattle housing market, Dipoto said that the entire coaching staff was impressed by Nola’s “phenomenal makeup” coming out of Spring Training, but lamented “if only he could hit.” Nola’s bat has been a pleasant surprise but he’s most valued as a “mature, built-out, work-oriented leader” whose role will be holding down first base until Evan White is ready, at which point he will transition to a super-utility role (extra-super-utility, since Nola can play catcher).
Daniel Vogelbach. Much time was spent discussing Vogelbach’s “great personality,” which isn’t quite as ominous as it sounds, but almost.
Mallex Smith. “Projects to be here for the foreseeable future.” Hmm.

I can't believe Dee Gordon is benched. All those scouts in the stands that traveled thousands of miles to evaluate him are going to think he isn't good enough to be a starter!rockycola wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:36 pmKyle Lewis does NOT need a day off.....or was he up all night playing Minecraft on his computer?

It was odd to see Moore hit a home run then sit the next day. Then the day after that hit another home run, and then doesn't start for the next 2 days.
Here's hitting stats for the second half. We'll see how the season finishes out.
