I'm mentally preparing myself for the Yankee series.
Get ready for what I call "Broadway/Hometown umps".
A baseball game in Yankee stadium now is honestly a Broadway show.
Every pitch, catch, throw, hit is a mini commercial.
God I miss the old Yankee stadium.

With that said beat their ass while their down!
Yanks are free falling as of late.
Cal could have a YUGE series with that short right porch.
I predict a home run by Julio to left.
Our pitching will be battling the umps.
IF we score runs we win the series.

I think we're all mentally prepared that should the M's make the playoffs, they won't get past the first round. That's what you get with a 0.540 winning percentage. You get to purchase a ticket to the back row seats.

We had our hot month, then they had theirs. It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out at the end of the season, but I don't think many people that know baseball would take the Mariners lineup over the Astros. I could be wrong.

We are .500 there the past three seasons and haven't got swept since 2018.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. You expect the Yankees to continue on this free fall? You expect the Mariners to make such marketed improvements at the deadline that they go into the stretch run with a more talented team than the Yankees? The Division race is basically over, and it took an epic collapse by the Yankees to put us in a position to even talk about anything but the last WC race, and that is because we swept the Pirates. All while the Astros were kicking the Yankees and Dodgers asses.

Sorry, every time this team has looked like they might be a threat to do anything besides compete for the last possible playoff birth over the past three or four years? The next losing streak follows. What I know is that since the rebuild we have made one playoff appearance, and that was by securing the last WC spot one day before the end of the season. Not sure what evidence I see to support any believe that this years version will be better.
