Read rumors that the Braves would listen to offers on Ozzie Albies, but not till the offseason.

This is useless info for 2 reasons: first, it’s a rumor which is about as reliable as a hunch of oldies in a beauty parlor sitting under hair dryers, gossiping. Second, it’s not going to happen until the offseason, if it happens at all.

Still, if true he’d be a good, affordable get for the M’s at the keystone for 2 more years.

There’s the ever persistent rumor that the M’s could make a deal for Acuna. There’s a better chance that monkeys could fly out of my ass, but it’s been tossed around for a few weeks now.

Apart from the names you mentioned - maybe Ryan McMahon is a trade target? He’s having a down season so I don’t know why we would want him, but I’ve heard his name floated.

For me, I’m for making a big splash and trading prospects. Prospects are just prospects and I’d rather go for proven talent then wait and see if the prospects work out or flame out. The only prospect I’d hate to see traded would be Lázaro Montes.

BTW - here’s a trade proposal for Acuña. Not worth the paper it’s not printed on:

Sure I'm not afraid of trading top prospects but the two guys you just mentioned one is a maybe this off season and the other one is monkeys flying out of your ass and McMahon who is trash. We need to come up with some reasonable options if we're going to talk about trading top prospects and we still don't have any.

I can't believe there's not one guy that is in a rental that might be traded on 13 rosters

Here are some 3rd basemen that could be available other than Geno, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Ryan McMahon,
Ramón Urías. The problem is none of them really are an upgrade over Williamson. Williamson is not the train wreck that Oswald Peraza is for the Yankees. It's not that easy to find an obvious upgrade. The mariners really aren't in that bad shape at 3rd or 1st. Look what the Red Sox came up with replacing Casas,

. “The New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs have all checked in with the Pirates for third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes,” Bob Nightengale wrote on Sunday

Yeah, Hayes can't hit at all. He might be the best defensive third baseman in the game but he's more or less a zero at the plate.

A guy in my X group chat's assessment:
Marlins have nobody of consequence that they would sell.

Braves have Riley, Olsen, Acuña, but they won’t be trading any of them apparently, not to mention the Mariners wouldn’t be willing to assume Olsen’s contract, sadly.

Nationals have great position players, but they are all making pennies and they are building around them.

Pittsburgh has Cruz and Reynolds. Reynolds makes too much for his production, Cruz won’t go anywhere, at least not yet.

Rockies are just flat out garbage. Ethan Holliday might already be their best major leaguer. Haha

Angels won’t trade with Jerry.

Guardians have Clase, Kwan and Jose, but the latter two won’t be traded.

The Twins have Royce, who when healthy, is a freaking monster, but he isn’t ever healthy. Buxton makes too much money and was on record last week saying he will not waive his no trade for any team in the league.

Royals have Vinnie, who is pretty meh. Witt obviously isn’t going anywhere, Salvy is old.

Orioles have some dudes, but the only ones who might be available are O’Hearn, who is meh, and Bautista who I like.

Athletics have Miller, their young OF’s and 1B are untouchable.

White Sox have Robert.
