Geno, Julio, and Cal can’t go 1 for 15 today. Yesterday was unacceptable.

Maybe batting Cal 2nd is their way of trying to get him out of the "swing for the fences" mindset. I can't think why else you would put him there and Julio 3rd. But then why Naylor 4th? Are the stat guys telling them to do this? Seems weird to say the least.

Yes! We cannot keep taking one step forward and two steps back.
Houston geting bitch slapped by Boston was a gift we seem to be wasting.
Today feels like a "must win" if the goal is still to take the division.
LET's FREAKIN GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This lineup the first 6 batters R-L-R-L-R-L against a right.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 6:43 pmMaybe batting Cal 2nd is their way of trying to get him out of the "swing for the fences" mindset. If JP were leading all, the could accomplish L-R-L-R with Julio second and Cal 3rd.
Which begs the question, does alternating left and right hitters have any benefit? Have the stat guys looked at this?

Of course. Next Marino isn't cut him. Makes no sense. That's what Jerry says
So no bullpen move only one healthy enough is Kowar who will need to go deep. Not liking Evans lately. Looking forward to shellacking today
So Evans gets at least 2 or 3 more starts no matter what cause him and Miller dont match up. No way Miller goes on short rest.
Boston gm is a genius. Trading star player and hottest team since. Wish we had someone like that.
