Moore, Salano and Garver go bye bye. Eat the money. Rivas, Taylor and Ford come up. End of story. It’s simply putting together a more productive roster.

I'm sorry but this is too damn logical.
Stop it already.

Why would We want to add more versatility, speed and better hitting?

Has anyone in the media asked Jerry or Justin why the fuck these unproductive players (including Legumina) are still on the roster in August?

RIGHT!?!?!? It’s like eating an old package of ramen for dinner when you have a steak in the fridge.

It's all based on fear. The amount of criticism they would take if they called up rookies, and they produced at a similar level to the trash you mentioned? Is greater than if they just did what they are doing now, relied on the Vets and hoped for better results. This is basically an epidemic in sports. If you do something different, and it works? You look like a genius. But even that can backfire, since when the Seahawks did that by stock piling mid round picks by trading back? They decided that was the only way to do things.
I feel that the 2001 season did the same thing to the Mariners. Sure, Edgar was a great player, but Ichiro was an unknown brought in from Japan, Boone was a journeyman, and the rest were just regular guys that played hard and had good seasons. They got rid of Randy, Griffey and A Rod, and had the best regular season in MLB history. So? They decided they didn't need starts. I remember reading an article from one of those douchebags in the Front Office back then, Lincoln or Armstrong, and he said just that. That strategy got us the longest playoff draught in North America.
If they called up those three kids and they put up the exact same numbers as Solano, Garver and Moore? The amount of heat they would take would be incredible. Why did they trust rookie's in a playoff chase? That's all we would hear. Keeping those three scrubs? Has anyone in the media asked why those guys are here? No, and that's because that is what everyone does. We will hear how they are a veteran presence in the Club House if they ever are questioned...and that will be that.
Remember, we were supposed to sign Santana just because Julio wanted us to. You can keep a Veteran around, and no one asks why.

Good analogy. Could not have said it better myself.
I am far from a major league baseball player, but those AB's from Moore and Solano yesterday isn't much better than someone like me could do.

In looking at these players individually:
Garver - at least has value as a backup catcher (he even hits like one). The question is if Ford can at least play as well as Garver at the MLB level and can we get him enough playing time? I don't think he can right now and we probably should stick with Garver.
Solano - this is a case of management ego and not wanting to admit they blew it. The guy's had what, two or three outstanding weeks to make his stat line at least exceed that of a fire hydrant and that's it. He doesn't give us anything on the field or on the basepaths. I don't think we have anyone at Tacoma worth taking his spot on the roster but it doesn't matter since he'll be gone once Raley and/or Robles get back.
Moore - he's scared to death out there and might not recover this season. That fly ball he dropped in right field a few days ago out of fear, and that at-bat yesterday where he took two half-assed swings and then looked at that off-speed pitch that he seemed to make up his mind that he was taking no matter what. Samad Taylor needs to take his place and that's it.

Samad Taylor doesn't play shortstop does he? Think he needs to be able to play SS to replace Moore. I know Moore drives everybody crazy but I think they see value in his ability to play all the infield positions. I don't think they are bringing Ford up because they are going to be looking to trade him over the off season

Of course not. It isn't the media job to ask questions that they know the fans want answered. It is just go through the motions an collect their paychecks.
