If they don't want to release him, just put him on the 60 and call him done for the year. He's a free agent at the end of the season anyway, so it's on him what happens after that.

Send him down and replace him with Haniger. Seriously. Could it be any worse? And Mitch is still collecting a paycheck.

I would like to see Rivas brought up. He is a switch hitter with speed who can give Crawford some rest.

Rivas is probably better than Dilly on skills at this point. Younger, faster 23/26 SB, positions played, SH, He'd be confident hitting .307 .463 .493 .956 in Tacoma and over a 100 OPS+ in Seattle. but

f you wanted a base thief:

Samad Taylor .310 .387 .488 .875 in Tacoma with 38/45 on the year.

Dilly has been a good player but is a negative at this point.

I don't think it has anything to do with Garver or Moore's play.

I think Dan wants veterans in the clubhouse, even if they don't perform.

Might be insane, but perhaps they bring some leadership to the clubhouse that would be absent as soon as you cut them loose.
