8/30 GT: Road WOErriors

Post by Millikin » Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:08 am

Logan Gilbert v Gavin Williams
4:15pm

Williams is 5-2 with a 3.18 ERA at home
Gilbert is 1-3 with a 6.00 ERA on the road

Seattle is a -150 favorite in this game for some reason, so if you're a betting man seems like a no-brainer to put some dough on the IndiGuardians.

Prediction 8-2 Cleveland.
Cal hits 2 solo homeruns.

Prediction: the Mariners will vomit all over themselves several times during the game resulting in some 15 minute delays to clean up the mess. Dan Wilson will talk to reporters after the game about what a great effort it was and how the players never stop fighting and have each other's backs.

The joys of being a Mariner fan. I look at the standings and the three game lead the Astros have seem insurmountable, but we have a 3 game lead on the Royals, 3.5 on the Rangers and 4 on Cleveland, and I assume all three will be ahead of us in a week to ten days!

He’s Jerry’s robot. I lost a lot of respect for him last night. The team has no fire, and he has less. Time to dig out the golf clubs.

My question is how on earth are the Astros still in first place, after losing Bregman, Tucker, and Alvarez, and leading the league in the list of most injured players all season.

Two healthy starting pitchers for most of the year.

Heart.

Their play is just going thru the motions at times.

i.e. up 4-1 in the first and can't score a damn run after.

I despise Dan Wilson's approach of mediocrity idiocracy.

Go Milikin. May they flip a light switch!

Its because the mariners aren't playing up to their potential

Who knows what their potential is, but in a fairly normal year, with average injuries, the Astros would be way ahead.

DT, you have the memory of an elephant.

By the way, do elephants have a good memory?

Or is that just an old elephant wife tale?
