One of the best catching prospects in the game, Ford is now the third catcher on Seattle's roster, joining Cal Raleigh and Mitch Garver. The 22-year-old Ford slashed .283/.408/.460 with 16 home runs and seven steals in 97 games at Triple-A. Despite being one of the youngest players at Triple-A, Ford's 0.84 BB/K is the 15th best mark among qualified Triple-A hitters and his seven steals were the second most among Triple-A backstops

. With Ford added to the roster, Seattle has its first round draft selection from 5 consecutive drafts on the active roster: RHP Logan Gilbert (2018), RHP George Kirby (2019), RHP Emerson Hancock (2020), C Harry Ford (2021) and INF Cole Young (2022).
You think they would play him in the outfield? His premier without any experience at it and in a playoff race? I had spaced out this far away, its roster expansion. He's going to mostly sit on the bench and watch, that's really what he there forSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 5:34 pmI could see them starting Ford in right against lefties for the next little while.
