The St. Louis Cardinals are in town. My two favorite Cardinal players of all time are Stan Musial and Bob Gibson. They don't have much these days which makes them dangerous. They're 72-72 on the season. Woo needs to hold them in check while the Mariner's offense keeps up its high scoring offensive onslaught.
I visited St. Louis once upon a time. Went up in the Gateway Arch and saw the Mississippi River from above. Wasn't inspired too much.

~Orville owns the team (middle name). He bought it from Anheuser-Busch a number of years ago, which was more exciting.

I expect 4 Mariner HR's tonight; at least one by Cal, on his way to 60!

We shall see, the offensive performance in Atlanta was great. I don't see it as being that particularly significant terms of today. They could just as easily get shut out

Ditto. It would not surprise me to see the Cards win 2 - 1. These guys are schizophrenic!

We have to win 11 games out of the last 19 to reach the magic number of 54%. That's doable. But reaching nirvana and the playoffs? Probably one game out once again!

If JP pulls a hammy in pregame warm ups and is out for the season I will nail his .711 OPS. If the M's finish 12-7 I will nail my 87 win prediction.

The fact that Rivas wasted away for MONTHS in AAA in favor of Dylan Moore who was mired in one of the worst slumps in MLB history but is now starting over a top 5 prospect tells you all you need to know about this dysfunctional org.

Killjoy.
Donn ~ you've gotta start drinkin" the Rockycola Kool-Aid, man.
Stop being so damn pragmatic all of the time. It is B-O-R-I-N-G.
We're all rabid sports fans here. None of us here are rational. Many fly off the handle and bear grudges.
Some get into silly spats and argue myopic points of view.......forever, ad nauseum.
We post, we boast, we toast, we roast, and at least one of us in The Most (mostonmike).

There's quite a few rosterbators and they are really masters of their private debates.

Okay, go Mariners!!!

What we saw in Atlanta is something I like to call the Robles Effect.

Great lineup. Hoping it continues. Horrible what has gotten with Young so talented but been so bad. Gonna need 2b protection next year badly

Our incredible farm system delivered Williamson and Young this season. Both have failed and been replaced.
