I wonder how much this will affect the 2026 payroll since they took over RSN 100% recently

If you have mlb tv you shouldn’t be subject to blackouts at least the non “national” ones so hopefully that becomes true.

What does this mean as far as... What channel do I watch Mariners games on?

I don't want to stream everything because I like flipping around channels and occasionally watching in split screen.

I don’t get the M’s locally in California. For years I bought subscriptions to mlbtv but every time they played the A’s or Giants I’d get blackout restrictions.

Then they had all these special days when they only streamed on Apple or YouTube or some shit.

Then they drove the price of an annual subscription north of $150 a year. And you don’t get post season games.

I finally just decided to stream them on mlbwebcast dot com.

It’s buggy now and then, but better than paying not to watch my team play.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is hoping to acquire the rights to all 30 clubs by the end of the 2028 season.
Why would the dodgers or Yankees hand over their broadcasts to Manfred?

This is what I was hoping would happen. MLB.TV is a much better experience than their stupid rootsportsstream thingy.

The 5 teams already with MLB were able to get to watch the games on a cable channel for $19.99 per month with no blackouts, except the nationally broadcast games.

So for instance Cleveland fans could pay their $20 to Spectrum and watch on channel 306/130 or on AT&T channel 736/1736

Seems like an easy enough arrangement.

Pretty much the same as Root. Works for me!

I wonder how much this will affect the 2026 payroll since they took over RSN 100% recently

I wonder how this effects the revenue stream.
