Biggest fear this postseason

Easily my biggest fear is the execution of our bullpen. While I largely have faith in Bazardo, Speier and Brash, I have a lack of confidence in the likes of Munoz and Vargas.
But pretty much all of these guys are new to the postseason and we all know how efficient the team is at getting outs late in games will decide its success in series.

Manager DiPoto would NEVER! And so smart because only Woo, Kirby, Gilbert and Miller got injured this season with this Brilliant philosophy.

LOVED IT! Skubal and Crochet are your best pitcher (DET and BOS, respectively) and you ride them when they have it.

Gotta hope for some quick outs. I just really wished our guys would pitch to contact more instead of looking for strikeout. Yes bullpen is definitely a top concern. Detroit should honestly be a walk in the park if they advance. Their pitching can't touch ours sorry. If our guys play to their full potential it should be a breeze. 4-6 runs a game should do it even with our pen.

you lost me there, bad things can happen when a ball is put in play, a strikeout takes chance out of it, its nothing but an out

Why do you think our guys can never go past the 6th because their pitch count is so high. I'd rather take my chances with contact. If our guys had better secondary stuff they'd probably induce a lot more soft contact.

I have no problem with them not getting past the sixth, that's what you have a BP for. Putting the ball in play in order to keep your starter in the game longer? I will take a dozen strikeouts and going to my pen in the seventh thank you. And it really isn't a question of pitch count. I am doing that even with a low pitch count. You want to start giving opposing hitters different looks at the end of the game. Give me twelve strikeouts over six innings and three guys in succession tossing 100mph and I will go to war with it

The M's leave their starters in longer than most teams. They were 4th in Baseball in innings pitched by the starters.

My biggest fear is that one of our starters has a bad inning or two. That Gilbert gives up 5 straight hits to begin the game, or Kirby gives up a 3 run HR and then a sol shot in the 4th. And then our offense doesn't step up to score enough runs.
