I was just going to say it is a miracle he is still alive but then I remembered he isn't.

You were right the first time, it would indeed be a miracle if he were still alive, cause he isn’t!

In 1980 Oakland right-hander Mike Norris was a 22-game winner who posted 5.9 bWAR, tossing 24 complete games, including this 14-inning marathon:

This summer Norris threw the first pitch at the Celebration of Rickey Henderson Day hosted by the Oakland Ballers of the Pioneer League. I watched Norris, who is my age, use a walker to reach the pitcher's mound.

1982 Norris goes 11-9, 1983 he's returned to the minors, after that he was a relief pitcher. Billy Martin gets the blame for ruining his arm
