M's expected to be in on Skubal per Buster Olney

They will probably offer Hogan Windish and Austin Shenton.

Tarik Skubal would be fun as long as we don't part with Kirby/Gilbert/Woo/Emerson/Andersen/Montes
If we trade for him now we can give him a QO next season at least.
But honestly I would rather run with options and trade a Miller or Castillo for an offensive replacement.

I doubt you would get much for Castillo at this point his velocity is dropping like Felix’s did and any further determination and you have a $ #5tehmc wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 6:55 pmTarik Skubal would be fun as long as we don't part with Kirby/Gilbert/Woo/Emerson/Andersen/Montes

I would sign up for that deal tomorrow.

He has negative incremental value on the site because of his salary.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 10:33 pmI doubt you would get much for Castillo at this point his velocity is dropping like Felix’s did and any further determination and you have a $ #5tehmc wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 6:55 pmTarik Skubal would be fun as long as we don't part with Kirby/Gilbert/Woo/Emerson/Andersen/Montes

Negative incremental value...
You put Luis Castillo on the block tonight and you'll get calls from teams. That site is fucking full of shit. Castillo is still throwing 96, he's logging 180 innings every yr with a conservative as fuck pitching approach, has big-game experience, playoff experience, and is still rocking mid 3 ERAs

Re: M's expected to be in on Skubal per Buster Olney
where's Olney getting his info?
If we're in on Skubal, who goes? (rotation wise, not package)
They love Kirby, hence his Gm 5 and Gm 7 nods. I think they're still extremely on Gilbert. Have to be high on Woo. Miller and Castillo seem to be the weak links. Maybe you do a heads up trade Miller for Skubal?
Tigers get, what, 4 yrs of Miller for Skubs in a walk year? Maybe you throw in Logan Evans or someone like Luis Suisbel/Dom Canzone as a sweetener?

You must not know what the word incremental. Means. He only put up 2.6 WAR and is owed $48M. He has to put up at least 3.0 WAR the next two seasons to have $0 incremental value. Sure teams will can but they would ask us to pay significant portion of his salary or we wouldn't get jack for him.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 2:23 amNegative incremental value...
