Jerry's Dumpster Diving Winter 25-26

There really is not a thread for the Dumpster diving signings the M's do over the winter so I decided to start this one.
M's sign LH reliever Randy Dobnak. He is a pretty cool story... from an independent league player to signing a 5yr multi million dollar contract with the Twins.

This is a guy that has next to 0% chance to contribute anything and yet Jerry has a Percy little idea that wasting budget on BS is better than concentrating it into 2 or 3 guys that have a real good chance of upgrading you over random prospects filling those positions

hard for there to be a downside to a minor league deal. Stock your AAA club
For the Mariners, there’s no harm in bringing him aboard via a minor league deal, giving them some non-roster pitching depth. Dobnak’s recent minor league work hasn’t been great but he has continued to get grounders on roughly half the balls in play he’s allowed. If he’s added to the 40-man roster at any point, he’s still optionable

Yeah, he is going to make about 3k a month and will probably be off the 40 man by Thanksgiving when a less stinking dumpster treat emerges.

End of an era this past Spring. My Uber career does not fund $1000 a night Vacation homes.
