Mariner trade Harry Ford for Jose Ferrer

Its someone for someone but the link for Jose Ferrer is wrong and Henry Ford isn't in the Mariner's organization

I'll be honest. I've never heard of this cat, until today. Been watching YouTube highlights for the last 5 min. M's must really see something. They've built dominant bullpen before. Lets hope they can do it again. Nats must've really not wanted to trade him.

Maybe no one had interest in coming to Seattle.

A trade for a reliever always felt inevitable considering the M’s only have about $15M left to spend, and most of that will go towards Polanco’s AAV if they are to retain him.

I mean, he throws 100 from the left side and is controlled for forever. Throws a plus changeup to righties and a plus slider to lefties.

MLBTV has it as an overpay by the M's but acknowledge it's close to a fair trade cause Ford is blocked and Ferrer could be dominant moving forward.

Obviously that failed. JP Crawford is our starting Shortstop in 2026. But if the Rangers offered Corey Seager for JP, then that would contradict what the front office announced. Everything is fluid when it comes to roster constructing.

It didn't contradict anything lol.

It doesn't help anyone to publicly announce that they're trying to move Ford. Diminishes his value.

Maintaining that you see him as a valid option alongside Cal keeps his value up. According to Divish, they've been trying to move him for a while.
