He has a 36% K-rate in the majors going into his age 34 season. I'm sure he'd like to get another year in the majors but it's probably not going to happen. It's a decent career though for a fringe guy.

Seems like a prefect fit. Not like that loser Arraez with his stupid .291 batting average and his garbage 3.1 K%. Now there's a loser we should never sign.

Don't get me started on Bregman. Honestly - sign Bregman and lock him in. Sign Tucker or Bellinger to a pillow deal. Boom. We are a world series ready team.

Seriously, this is the lamest offseason ever. Dipoto has gone from "Trader Jerry" to "Non-Alcoholic-Beer-at-a-Bachelorette-Party Jerry".

@GL_Storm: "The KBO is Korea." - exactly. Where they use wiffle bats and beach balls. Great job, Jerry et al.

75 OPS+ and .629 OPS his last season with the Cubs in 2024. Totally cooked.

Even as a "just in case" signing, this makes no sense whatsoever.

I assume they have to pay these guys per diem and hotel bills in Peoria which is a massive over pay.

It's a minor league deal. They are seriously lacking first basemen in the Miners. They literally have no one to play first base in Tacoma. Once they traded Locklear. The other 1B listed on Tacoma's roster last year were Raley and Mastrabouni. In Double A they had Hunter Fitzgerald and Hogan Windish who had a .721 and a .559 OPS respectively.
