Yeah I read that they are going to continue to allow him to throw both, but if were a real game situation, it sounds like he's only ready as a right hander. But if he can still develop his left on the side, then go for it later down the line.

Maybe but he was so so bad. I think it is like when Pete Carrol was fired but they said he would be retained as a special advisor. JCs Left arm is a special adviser that will be lucky to be hired by the Raiders. lolSexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 2:24 amYeah I read that they are going to continue to allow him to throw both, but if were a real game situation, it sounds like he's only ready as a right hander. That's a great analogy

Wonder if he could be a starter from the right side and then throw out of the bullpen from the left on his rest days.
Re: JC is now only a RHP
He could do it but he'd get shelled like he did in the minors throwing left-handed

Maybe but I am guessing that the dynamics of being a situational lefty would be a little bit different then switch pitching in the middle of a 6 inning outing. He'd be rested and he'd be able to just focused on throwing full throttle for a few batters. Most starters see a jump in velocity when they convert to the bullpen. At any rate it could be nice on occasion to have an extra lefty to go to in a pinch.

He had an insane 39 walks in 41 innings pitching LH.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 6:37 pmMaybe but I am guessing that the dynamics of being a situational lefty would be a little bit different then switch pitching in the middle of a 6 inning outing.
