GAME THREAD STARTER RULES
1. After a Loss
- When the team loses, the next person in line has from the final out until 2 hours before the next game to start the game thread.
2. Missed Turn
- If the scheduled starter does not post their thread, they receive 1 loss and forfeit their turn.
- The on-deck poster then has an optional window from 1:59:00 to 1:00:00 before game time to take the thread. Doing so uses their turn.
3. One-Hour Free Window
- At 1 hour before game time, the thread becomes open to anyone.
- The first thread with lineups included becomes official.
- Posting within this window is a free turn: it does not affect your place in line, but the result (W/L) still counts.
4. Free-Hit Threads
- Any thread started within the final hour is a free hit. A win starts a streak; a loss ends it; your position in line stays the same.
Only the regular season counts toward your record and playoff eligibility.
5. Entry Deadline
- Participants must join the list by April 7th.

PLAYOFF RULES
Only posters with a .500 or better regular-season record are eligible to start playoff threads, should we make it.
1. Thread Deadline
- The scheduled starter must post the playoff game thread by:
9:00am PDT / 12:00pm EDT / 5:00pm BST
- Exception: If MLB schedules an unusually early game, the standard 2-hour rule applies instead.
2. Steal Window
- If the scheduled starter misses the deadline, the steal list activates.
- The first eligible person on the steal list (who has not already stolen a playoff thread) has a 30-minute window to take the thread.
3. Free-For-All
- If the thread is still not posted by 09:30:00 PDT, it becomes open to any eligible (.500+) poster.
4. Steals Are Free-Hits
- A playoff steal is always a free hit. It does not affect your place in line, and the normal order resumes after the next loss.
