Early morning game, Forum Threaders. 10:40 A.M. Seattle, 1:40 P.M. in Minneapolis. 6:40 P.M. in London for mostonmike!
Time to wrap up this series with a win to even the record at 16-16. The only point this season that the M's were above .500 was March 30th at 3-2.

Swat and Zap the Mosquito-infested Twins again. Today will be Cal's game to produce!

Face-off against Taj Ali Bradley, RHP. Both he and Logan Gilbert strike out about the same amount of batters. In Seattle's favor is Bradley gives up a few more homers and walks almost 3x the number of batters as Kirby. So, Be smart Mariners, not dumb fuckers that don't take free passes when gifted them.

One of my all-time favorite Minnesota Twins was Zoilo Versalles, 5'10", 146# SS from Cuba. Somehow, in 1965, he was the A.L. MVP. He did lead the league in runs scored, doubles, triples, total bases and strikeouts. His slash line was .273 \ .319 \ .462 \ .781. His league leading WAR was 7.2. He led the league with 39 errors but won the Gold Glove. He beat out his own teammate, Tony Oliva, who led the league in hilling with a .321 B.A.
The Twins won the A.L. that year and lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. Sandy Koufax was the N'L, MVP.
Oh, Zoila's middle name was Casanova.

You got yourself a primetime game!

Me, I'll be scheduling my work day to be on the road for the bulk of the game. Lucky for me, I can simply hop in the company Ford Transit at around 1030 and pretty much listen to the whole game (and still work).

Wow that is insane. He has to be the only player to win an MVP with an OPS under .800 right? Crazy thing is he led the league in WAR before it even existed.

Is the American league just a bit shite at the moment? Only 3 teams are above .500 and we have the 5th best record.

Totally. Yankees are Damn good though. I don't see us making it past them to get to the WS without some major good fortune.

I spent a couple years in a Texas Federal Prison with Willie Wilson.
