I wonder if Jerry has ever given any thought to the possible psychological impact on a player when they are given a major league contract before proving anything at that level. It would seem to me that it's going to screw with their heads with regard to hunger and motivation at a critical time in their development UNLESS they are very grounded and highly disciplined.
