Woo v Braxton Ashcraft 6-3 record, 15 starts, 3.18 ERA, 1.10 WHIP
A 26-year-old, 6'5" right-handed starting pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates who's had a terrible run of injuries including Tommy John in 2022. He finally made his MLB debut just over a year ago and they used him in a hybrid role—18 appearances out of the bullpen and 8 starts— 2.70 ERA across 69.2 total innings.
His fastball that averages 97.4 mph including later in the game. Opponents are hitting under .100 against him this season when runners are in scoring position which seems to be his key. Recently had 11 strikeouts in a game v Twins with no walks.
He faced the Mariners on July 4th last year in relief - Dylan Moore hit a 2-run home run so we were probably stunned about that rather than observing this guy.
Not mentioning football, oh yes I am - Its Scotland v Brazil tonight which should be fun after last night's bore-draw for England.
