What I don't understand is how people have issues with lethal injection. Millions of Dogs and Cats get euthanized every year. I have personally witnessed it about a half dozen times. Zero issues.

Isn't he the guy that tried to avoid hanging by claiming he was too fat and the danger of his head popping off made it cruel and unusual punishment?

Especially with Rupe, as apparently after he did it he came back to the crime scene and first told police that his friend did it, and then later he confessed. Obviously he was a lunatic who was incapable of being deterred.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:37 pmGreat arguments against the death penalty by one of the victims brother.

I'd support them becoming gladiators once their execution date comes up.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2026 7:37 pmGreat arguments against the death penalty by one of the victims brother.

If you win, you live until the next match. But there's always a last match for each of them.

Re: M's vs. the Midgets game thread
This is why I love this place - a game thread turns into a death penalty chat,
The UK abolished it back in the 60s. There used to be campaigns to bring it back, but that’s pretty much died out now that you’d have to be in your late 70s to actually remember someone being executed here.
So for what its worth from me,
Why let them off easy? Why would you want a killer to get out of it by being put down? Personally, I'd rather they spend the rest of their days living in absolute fear of the other inmates, just like Ian Huntley—one of our most notorious child killers. This story about what happened to him inside is remarkable. 2005 boiling water thrown on him, 2010 throat slashed, 2017 attacked with razor blade inside toothbrush, 2026 bludgeoned to death with spiked metal bar.
The toll on the families: I would see justice as being done with "Life without parole". Rupe's family themselves say they suffered 20 excruciating years of appeals, hearings, and non-stop media attention, reliving the horrific details every single time. Having to follow and often turn up for those things must be worse than knowing he's locked away as safely as Ian Huntley was forever.
So, erm....... Go M's ?
