Colt starts in AAA until he EARNS a promotion then Rodden down and Donovan to Super UT....

I actually love this, and I could get behind it. But here's a few initial thoughts while the whole thing ferments in my noggin.
I am not sure why the Reds would trade one of the best shortstops in baseball - I am assuming they have wiggle room for backfilling this position...?
I would love it if they resigned Arozarena. I don't think Laz is field tested enough yet to make him a starting right fielder. Maybe he is a platoon DH?
You answered my questions about Colt Emerson - they would be paying him a shit ton of money to play in the minors.
I have questions about the pen. Lots. Like it needs to be torn down to the studs (literally) and then rebuilt. But this plan doesn't have to address that - I like the starting rotation even without Kirby.

They aren't resigning Randy. But thank God Jude said the will give him a QO. IF they make an offer the won't even be in the top 10. Randy will follow the money just like Polo did.
No idea what you are talking about field tested. Laz has been playing RF every day since he wasn't old enough to buy Cigars in the DR. You think they would put him out there in a "Playoff chase" if they weren't confident in his D????

Yeah at first I had him at 3B but given his performance and and injury I think the could sell it to Stanton. Such and idiotic contract is put them in a massive bind. Great point!

Yeah at this point I wasn't going to go out scanning/spanning? the Globe to find relievers I know nothing about.

This would leave us a bit light in terms of SP depth but Sloan would be ready fairly early in the season...

I just meant that the fields are littered with prospects that rake in the minors and flame out in the majors (cough, cough, Kelenic, cough cough). Seems like making him a full time right fielder at this point given his struggles with left handed pitching might be rushing it.
If the M's aren't going after any other big names in the offseason, they might as well take a serious run at Arozarena. He's proven he can hit in T-Mobile.

Love it. But if I'm the Reds and unlikely to be able to extend Kirby, I'm holding out for Sloan or looking to bring in a 3rd team. If I'm the Mariners, I'm still doing it with Sloan, Celesten, Farmelo, and Bautista. Offense is at a premium cost right now.

I would move Miller to the pen and sign a free agent for the fifth starter slot. Someone like Matthew Boyd would work. I'm just completely out on Miller as a starter at this point.

Sure but they aren't going after Randy so I would forget about it. Ok who would you like to be the starting RF on OD 2027 whenever that is. If Canzone then who is the LF? If Donovan then who is the 3B?
The RF FA pool is trash and the best available RF at the deadline was none other than Taylor Ward. So who is this mystery man that is better than given your top prospect who current has a .970 OPS a chance. So are you then demoting Laz to fuck around in AAA again?
