And we are currently sitting at the 10th overall pick for the 2020 MLB Draft.

I'm sticking with my prediction of 80-82.

Assuming Encarnacion gets dealt (along with some others) I would think that they will have at best a .400 winning % going forward this season.

If that was the case, that would currently put us at pick number 4.

Looking at the standings here, it seems to me that the M's will be battling the following franchises for a top 5 pick:
Miami (13-31)
Kansas City (16-31)
Baltimore (15-31)
Detroit (18-26)
Chicago WS (21-24)
San Fran (20-25)
Toronto (19-27)
Cincinnati (21-26)

Ms will be selling off pretty soon here. Bruce, EE, perhaps Beckham and Leake will be sent packing. The bullpen and rotation are in shambles. I really think it's Mariners, Miami, KC, Baltimore doing battle for the top 3.

Top 3 gets you a shot at a foundational piece to add with Jared Kelenic, Julio Rodriguez, Logan Gilbert, Justin Dunn, and Justus Sheffield, Shed Long, Evan White, and Ljay Newsome.

If Shed long is a foundational piece we are f-d.

If Shed long is part of the foundation we are building a shed on the street of dreams..........

Everybody is safe with their season predictions. In fact, I just went over to the Times to grab the pertinent post from that thread and bring it over here.

It's gone...............even somebody,s son,s ever-changing predictions.

No winners. No losers. Well, except us losers following this sorry, sad sack, shitshow of this 2019 Pee Wee Mariner team.

I think Darren was over there just now looking for it, too.

I have said this before but you go back to the 2000 draft from 2015 and you have 16 out of 48 top 3 picks that went on to be an All Star, 8 of those did not go to more than one or two all star games and at most 5(subjectively) went on to be a foundation piece on which to build a team.

The odds of getting a perennial all star never mind a foundation piece are very low with a top 3 pick in the MLB.
