‘The other guy’ in the Mets/Angels Fregosi-for-Ryan trade, probably the most lopsided of all time.
1-for-2 in the majors, but *caught more than 4,000 games* in the AA/AAA, Mex and Mex Winter Leagues in 30 years. That has to be some kind of record for self-inflicted punishment, going even beyond what most longtime Ms fans have endured, if not by much.
I’m still wondering if his knees finally gave out...
