Played 18 years, while batting but .254 lifetime, had an incredible .394 OBP.

One year he walked 151 times.

Higher OBP than SLG is very unusual for a season let alone a long career. Filia might be a Eddie Yost fan. :) Guessing Eddie wasn't as much into bong hits though. lol

Obviously Eddie Yost walked the walk. But how many of those walks drove in a run or two? Love his OBP... guessing he was a leadoff hitter?

He had a few seasons where he had over 700 plate appearances so he had to have been. Amazing he walked so much considering he wasn't much of a threat as a hitter. Imagine someone like Ben Gamel drawing 125 walks.

Good point. I "Baseball Referenced" him and he stands 5' 10" tall... so he was no Eddie Gaedel, who BTW, holds the all-time record for OBP.

Mr. Yost had one year with a .440 OBP! Do you think we could ask Mr. Gordon if he could do that for us?

I just posted the all time list a few inches above your post. He only had 72 SBs in 2100 games and had a negative Bsr metric so not a lead off prototype...
