How did they not have the foresight to see this would happen?! What a mess.

Re: Ugh!
Can't say this fear wasn't in the back of my mind, given the Marlin situation announced earlier in the week, and the rescheduling of the Phillies and Cardinal games. Watching the Ms/Astros/Angels, though, I thought they generally were being pretty much within the guidelines. Who's to say, though.
Food for thought, I'm betting that if they cancel the season, the draft order for next year will revert to the order of last year.

Re: Ugh!
That would be a slight silver lining given that there is no way this team finishes worse than the 7th worst record.Petert wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 11:15 pmCan't say this fear wasn't in the back of my mind, given the Marlin situation announced earlier in the week, and the rescheduling of the Phillies games. Re: Ugh!
Mariners still have a pretty tough schedule. They could very easily be the worst team in their division, and since there are so few games outside of the division, they have a good chance at a top 7 pick. They don't get to play the Pirates, Orioles, Royals, Tigers, Marlins. They do have a few games against the Giants. I think it depends on how Angels rebound the rest of the year, and how the good the Rangers are. A's and Astros will likely beat up on the M's though.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 11:17 pmThat would be a slight silver lining given that there is no way this team finishes worse than the 7th worst record.Petert wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 11:15 pmCan't say this fear wasn't in the back of my mind, given the Marlin situation announced earlier in the week, and the rescheduling of the Phillies games.
