Not really good news for the fallen angels of hell. He felt discomfort and has not had a good Start

There’s surely hope disaster will be avoided. But it’s tough not to be at least somewhat alarmed. Ohtani worked his way back to the mound this season following October 2018 Tommy John surgery. Yet he certainly hasn’t looked as dominant as he’d been.
A few at the old forum were convinced he would never make it as a hitter. I remember a few arguments that there was little chance he was a two way star. That’s still possible, but interesting that he has excelled as a hitter and not on the mound

I guess we got the better pitcher. At least KK hasn't been injured.

I would have lost that bet between the better of those two. KK has started this yr on a high note. If Oht goes under the knife again that would be devastating to the angels

Wow, can't say I feel sorry for him after Ithe way it appeared he sidestepped us when signing.

And can't feel bad for the Angels obviously.

Overall a good day imo!

there were questions about doing both, but I don't remember anybody thinking he couldn't make it as a hitter. Maybe that he would choose pitching over hitting, but not because he couldn't hit

Only one time have I ever saved something from this or the old Forum and here it is. This is a direct quote And I saved it because I thought it wouldn’t come true
The irony will be in the end maybe he should have gone to a NL team since he would have gotten the at-bat during his starts at least. He could have been another Bumgardner, a great pitcher that can hit. For this to work with the Angels he is going to have to be a better hitter than a guy they have on the roster for that specific purpose, the specialist DH, and I don't think he is going to be able to do it. He is most likely going to be a terrific talent as a pitcher, there will come a time when his effort to be a DH at the same time will be a distant memory re Shohei Ohtani
